How we’ll work together

We’ll collaborate on discovering new ways to view, engage with, and transform the barriers that appear to keep you from the life you want to create.

I approach this work with flexibility, creativity, gratitude, joy, humor, and humility, and I would be honored to assist you on your journey towards healing, growth, and expanded awareness.

Who I work with

I enjoy working with a wide range of clients:

  • adults

  • college students

  • seniors

  • couples

  • parents

  • families

I work with individuals impacted by:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • trauma

  • addiction

  • grief and loss

  • adjusting to life changes

  • infidelity

  • divorce

  • other relationship challenges

  • parenting issues

  • issues associated with chronic medical conditions

Some clients come to therapy feeling caught between different worlds — cultural, familial, professional, spiritual, or personal. Together, we explore the challenges and opportunities that can arise from living across multiple identities, communities, or perspectives.

My Background

Personal

I grew up in Indiana, moved to San Francisco in my early 20s, and lived for one year in Japan. I’ve lived in the Los Angeles area since 2001. Claremont has been my home since 2012.

Professional

I have a diverse professional background in multiple creative and technical fields that informs my work as a therapist.

I'm a visual and performance artist, and I worked for several decades as a graphic designer, a user interface designer, and user experience designer for technology companies. This is technical work that also incorporates heart and humanity. I love organizing information and improving processes—helping things to function more clearly, smoothly and effectively, while bringing more joy to interactions.

I’ve also deeply enjoyed working as a teacher, lecturer and presenter.

And I’ve been fortunate to experience some writing and consulting jobs in the entertainment industry.

Passion, creativity, and heart is at the center of the varied work that I’ve done, and that same passion, creativity and heart comprises a large part of my work as a therapist.
